The Scorch Trials

Thomas was sure that escape from the maze meant he would get his life back. But no one knew what sort of life they were going back to. The earth is a wasteland with people driven mad by an infection known as the Flare. Instead of freedom, Thomas must face another trial. He must cross the Scorch to once again save himself and his friends.

An amazing read an amazing book.

Better than the first book. Astounding

This book is the follow up to 'The Maze Runner', and second in the trilogy. Thomas and his friends have made it out of the maze only to find out that their rescue was in fact a lie, created by WICKED. The Gladers now face another trial; To survive in the scorched world. In my opinion, this book is many times better than the first. It includes a lot of Thomas' thoughts as well as a lot less dialogue from Newt and a lot more from Minho

Really enjoyed this second book in the Maze Runner series. Very interesting to find out what is in store for the gladers once they leave the maze. I'm unsure how they are going to make this into a film as it is because personally some of the content could quite easily be from a horror film and they clearly need to make the film a PG / 12 rating to appeal to the YA who read the book. Anyway a great 2nd installment setting up for nicely for Book 3.

As a continuation from Maze runner I thought this book was fantastic! I couldn't put it down and can't wait to find out what happens in the 3rd book!

Solving the maze was supposed to be the end, but Thomas finds out that it was only the beginning. And when he's seperated from Teresa, he wonders if she'll end up dead or alive. He thought that escaping would mean freedom, but life outside the maze was even worse than he could have ever imagined... Singed and scalded, life on earth has become a sun-dried wasteland and has caused the world to be infected by a disease called 'The Flare'. The nation faces an apocalypse as people are driven insane to the point where they crave human blood... The only way to save the earth and find a cure, is for Thomas and the remains of the Gladers to face another trial. However, the trial they are about to face will challenge them more than they had ever imagined. Will they be able to survive the blazing heat if not the growing Flare inside of them? And can Teresa really be trusted? Watch as the mind games continues...

The scorch trials is about thomas who thought that the trials were over. But he was wrong! He falls out with a girl, who you meet in the first book

Part two to a three part series. An amazing book with strong characters and an interesting story line. Also a film.

It is a great 2nd book and it definitely doesn't dissapoint. The story flows well from the first book and leaves you wishing for the third book!

This is the second maze runner book and it is rubbish

It's a really interesting book and I would recommend reading after you have read the first one which is called "The Mazerunner" and is also by James Dasher. There are two sequels to The Mazerunner, and the scorch trials is one of them. There is also a prequel, meaning that there are a total of four books in this series.

In my opinion, this is an amazing book but I would definitely recommend reading the 1st book before this one, if you don't then it would spoil the series. As I said, amazing book. So exciting to read. It made me want to read the rest of this series.

Didn’t really like this. Slow start. A bit awkward. Love the movie though!

I would recommend this to other people because you think the characters are free but they begin the scorch trials.
