Reading Ahead is the new name for the Six Book Challenge.
The Six Book Challenge was advertised in the library at college. I thought I’d try it, because I’d found I’d stopped reading books for pleasure because I felt like I had no time.
My tips for completing the Six Book Challenge would be to pick a book on a subject you’re interested in, it will help you to stick with it and stay motivated. Read the blurb on the back of the book and read the first page – if you are still interested then go for it, but if not, pick another book.
It could also be really helpful to do the Challenge as part of a group, so that you can discuss the books you’re reading. I did it on my own, but I find it really interesting to hear what other people think about a book I’ve been reading. It’s also a really good way to make new friends and get to know people.
