Completers’ prize draw
The winner of a trip to London is Fatima Alizada who is studying a Level 1 ESOL course at Central College Nottingham. Fatima says: “I really enjoyed it so much. I would recommend everyone to take part in the Six Book Challenge.”
Christine Radcliffe, Senior Library Assistant at the college says: “Some of the comments in the diaries show how life changing reading can be so I really want to keep the challenge going and build on it each year.”
Three runners-up will receive Kobo ereaders:
Mohammed Faraz, aged 22, volunteers at the Donald Hope Library as a ‘meet and greeter’, this is the second year he’s taken part in the Challenge.
’It’s encouraged me to read more books even though the challenge is over and I now encourage others to read whilst volunteering at my local library!’’
Abigail Martin a part-time student at Telford College of Arts and Technology and Lana Brogden, a student at Abingdon & Witney College will also both receive ereaders.
From September 2015, the Six Book Challenge will be called – Reading Ahead.
